Our DBT Life Therapy Program

We are a private unique therapeutic service that works with clients who have experienced adult childhood trauma or have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality (BPD) and Depression/Anxiety.

We welcome and support neurodivergent individuals who may have been diagnosed later in life with Autism or ADHD.

DBT is an evidence-based therapy modality that has proven to work with the above-mentioned mental health diagnoses and more.

Individual Therapy

Every client is assigned individual therapy sessions for the duration of the program. Individual therapy sessions are scheduled for an hour every week. The focus is on tracking emotions and behaviours and balancing acceptance with change.

Each of the modules includes a weekly 1-hour 1-1 therapy session

Skills Training Group

The skills training component of the program consists of three ten-week modules:

1. Mindfulness and Emotion Regulation - 10 weeks x 2 hours of group therapy per week.

2. Mindfulness and Distress Tolerance - 10 weeks x 2 hours of group therapy per week.

3. Mindfulness and Interpersonal Skills - 10 weeks x 2 hours of group therapy per week.

To receive maximum benefit from the program, clients are required to complete all three modules.

Throughout your DBT Life program, you will be provided with a wealth of resources that are yours to keep and refer back to. This includes reading materials, workbooks, flashcards, journals, and more.

Phone Coaching

As part of the Clear Mind Directive service, clients can contact the treating team members by phone. These calls provide the opportunity with using your skills during challenging situations. The coaching calls are short brief interventions and can be banked for use at a later date if not used during the module.
